Denmark announces fresh details of ‘historically large’ rail upgrades

Banedanmark is working on a major overhaul of the Danish rail infrastructure in 2023, renewing tracks, electrifying lines and installing digital signalling. In an update released this week, the Danish rail infrastructure manager laid out what will happen over the next couple of months.

“Electrification”, as currently devastatingly short of redundancy -and in no respect optimal – indeed needs upgrading…
Quantity of new tracks, as currently standard at TEN-T, etc., regrettably is cementing, short of redundancy…, neither is “upgrading”, thus as well devastating.
“Height” has to be ensured, for future demand. Bottlenecks shall not be constructed!
(All other modes, those robust, redundant, upgrade for added load – and lower costs, etc.)
The station is currently called “Ny Ellebjerg”, and will be renamed “København Syd” (Copenhagen South) this year.
