Industrial production of ‘green sleepers’ for Infrabel starts

Production of sulfur concrete sleepers started in Belgium on Wednesday. Concrete company De Bonte produces the ‘green sleepers’ on behalf of Infrabel. According to the infrastructure manager, the production of sulfur concrete emits 40 percent less CO2 than traditional sleepers made of cement concrete, making it a more environmentally friendly alternative.
