Renfe inaugurates new high-speed line
Inauguration of the Madrid-Extremadura high-speed line
Renfe kicked off its new high-speed service offering between Madrid and the Extremadura region on Tuesday. The new line cuts travel time to the city of Badajoz, situated on the border with Portugal, by almost one hour. Electrification of the section is still ongoing.
