Renfe expands high-speed service between Barcelona and Madrid
Renfe will be running additional high-speed trains between Barcelona and Madrid as of Tuesday. That means there will be one train every 30 minutes between the two cities at peak hours.
From now on, there will be a 08.30 morning service from Madrid, while in the opposite direction there will be an afternoon service at 15.00 from Barcelona. Both trains will also stop at Zaragoza.
With the additional service there are now around 20,000 seats on offer on a daily basis between Madrid and Barcelona. Renfe estimates that this can potentially save 602,980 tonnes of CO2 per year.
