Alstom completes phase 1 of Qatar tramway

Last week, Alstom successfully completed Phase 1 of the Light Rail Transit project in the city of Lusali, near Doha, Qatar. Alstom was awarded a contract from Qatar Railways in 2014 to be part of the LRT consortium. The contract is to supply a turnkey tramway system that is catenary-free above ground, eco-friendly, provides passengers information, a high level of comfort and security systems.
