British union rejects pay offer so rail strikes back on the tracks

Rail union RMT has rejected the latest offers from both Network Rail and the majority of passenger train operating companies in England, some of whom provide services into Scotland and Wales. The Rail Delivery Group, which represents the operators within the industry, has responded with dismay to the RMT rejection of the offer. The rejection came after a week of talks, which broke down late on Friday afternoon.
