It has been nearly four months since the awaited 49-euro ticket, officially known as the Deutschland ticket, went on sale on 3 April 2023. O2 Telefónica, Germany’s largest mobile phone provider, and data specialist Teralytics have analysed mobility behaviour in Germany since the introduction of the Deutschlandticket in a bid to discover how the flat-fee public transport card for regional trains and other forms of public transport has impacted mobility in Germany.
