Demand for train drivers continues to grow in Germany

Train drivers are in high demand across Europe. And this demand continues to grow according to recent numbers from the German transport association, Allianz pro Schiene. This trend shows no signs of letting up, considering that a substantial part of the labour force will retire within the next decades. If unaddressed, Europe’s capacity to promote a modal shift to rail and reach the European Union (EU) Green Deal targets, will face significant challenges.
