Our editorial team has published a special RailTech Magazine themed ‘Intelligent Rail’. With many interesting interviews, it dives into intelligent rail infrastructure, data platforms, and condition monitoring.
Rail infrastructure is the backbone of smooth operations, and there is a lot to be won by using smart solutions. Infrastructure managers and suppliers across Europe are working on ways to use and transform large amounts of data into useful information to make railway maintenance smarter. Developments from infrastructure managers from the United Kingdom, Austria and the Netherlands are gathered in this magazine, sharing insights from the field.
What does it feature?
This magazine includes an interview with Tim Flower, Chief Engineer at Network Rail’s Intelligent Infrastructure Programme about their latest developments, and with professor of Condition Monitoring Diego Galar about predicting the unpredictable and what we have learned about Condition Monitoring in the past 5 years.
Erik Pinter, track analysis expert at ÖBB, talks in an interview about the journey from data to predictive maintenance, and shares insights from the Austrian Railways. Intelligent Rail summit 2021
On 21-23 September, the Intelligent Rail Summit 2021 takes place in Bilbao, Spain. It’s centered around asset management, Wayside Track Monitoring Systems and monitoring of rail infrastructure. It also addresses the lowering environmental impact of railway maintenance works. It is a physical event, where the railway sector can meet each other again, and it is also possible to join the event digitally.
