Magazine ‘Intelligent Rail’ out now
Our editorial team has published a special RailTech Magazine themed ‘Intelligent Rail’. With many interesting interviews, it dives into intelligent rail infrastructure, data platforms, and condition monitoring.
Rail infrastructure is the backbone of smooth operations, and there is a lot to be won by using smart solutions. Infrastructure managers and suppliers across Europe are working on ways to use and transform large amounts of data into useful information to make railway maintenance smarter. Developments from infrastructure managers from the United Kingdom, Austria and the Netherlands are gathered in this magazine, sharing insights from the field.
This magazine includes an interview with Tim Flower, Chief Engineer at Network Rail’s Intelligent Infrastructure Programme about their latest developments, and with professor of Condition Monitoring Diego Galar about predicting the unpredictable and what we have learned about Condition Monitoring in the past 5 years.
Erik Pinter, track analysis expert at ÖBB, talks in an interview about the journey from data to predictive maintenance, and shares insights from the Austrian Railways. Paul Kootwijk and Bas van Wijhe talk about using wayside monitoring tools at Dutch infrastructure manager ProRail and Peter Boom, Director Rail Asset Management and Digitisation at Royal HaskoningDHV, about using Digital Twins for traction energy analyses.
