DB Cargo aims to transport industrial volumes of hydrogen in the near future. To that end, it is working on a supply chain solution for the transport from sea ports to consumers in the hinterland.

Yes, Niche of railways is on shore feeding of ports. However, currently, for majority of clients quality of service rendered is too low.
(Majority of clients do not afford luxury of not caring about “eta”.)
Thus now, for majority the on road trucks is single alternative, up to 1000 km from Port.
Optimal benefitting Advantage of Hemisphere, nearness to ports, ocean, etc., now urgently calls for a New Old Railway…
(A pity it is that Goal of EU is obstructed, by inferior railway infrastructure.)
