Alstom and SNCF present first diesel-converted battery train

Rolling stock manufacturer Alstom and SNCF Voyageurs presented the first diesel-converted battery Regional Train (TER) for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region on 18 October. It will undergo several testing phases before being allowed to run on the French tracks again with its new battery pack, planned for December 2024.
