SBB has begun breaking apart and removing a 500-tonne boulder on the face of the Ross mountain. Inspections back in April revealed that the giant piece of rock was at risk of coming off the rockface, threatening a railway in the valley below. The removal effort is expected to take a month, SBB said this week.
