Heatwaves with record-breaking temperatures made their impact on European railways in June and July this year, and it probably won’t be the last time. Are railways ready to cope with increasingly hot temperatures, and what measures are rail companies taking?

Amplitude, not just high temperature, now calls for attending!
At winter, broken rails, now the most frequent reason for derailments, fatal, etc., has proved a serious symptom.
As all other public modes, as well at railways, now safe safety factors has to be requested! Resilency has to be provided – and quantified – at a safely calculable, a timely track system!
(Basics, rail… shall not remain the “fuse”!)
