Future rail communication systems: between efficiency and cyber threats

New communication technologies will lead to significant improvements in terms of digital transformation and more efficient train control. At the same time, increasing digitalisation is exposing the rail sector to cyber threats as never before. This was discussed during the first conference day of RailTech Europe, which centred around the theme ‘The Digital Railway.’

Strategy of Nature, for meeting with risks and all sorts of threats, is robustness, resilency, by diversity.
Accordingly at any data, redundancy is a must – thus, as well high qual. staff, all the way, etc.
Already currently, however Industry, by far is too vulnerable! (For clients, risks means costs, etc.)
At basics, infrastructure, physical sustainability, robustness in words meaning, urgently has to be provided for! (There Big Data and “optimal” maintenance should not be the Alt. I…)
