Intelligent Rail Summit 2021: what is it about?

source: Deutsche Bahn

The Intelligent Rail Summit 2021 focuses on asset management, Wayside Train Monitoring Systems and monitoring rail infrastructure, and takes place on 21-23 September in Bilbao, Spain. We are happy to announce that the event will be organised in a physical form, with digital tickets available as well. The registration for the event is now open.

The Intelligent Rail Summit 2021 covers many aspects of asset management and digitalisation in rail, but also addresses the lowering environmental impact of railway maintenance works. The event takes place at the Euskalduna conference center in the Spanish city Bilbao, and is also livestreamed so people can join from a distance.

Topics and speakers

On the first day, monitoring in rail and maintenance and prognostics are central. Topics such as smart sensors, monitoring techniques for overhead contact lines, data-based condition monitoring of turnouts and digital twins of railway infrastructure are discussed. The full conference programme is available here. The second day will focus on data analysis with AI and environmental impacts of railway infrastructure. For example, how can the unpredictable be predicted, and what are the possibilities of reaching zero emissions during railway maintenance?

Have a look below at some of the expert speakers who will speak at the Intelligent Rail Summit in Bilbao. A full overview of the event’s speakers can be found on the website.

Join us and get connected! Register before 30 July and take advantage of the early bird fee. Digital tickets are available as well.
