Infrabel and Lineas sign 42 million euro contract

Infrabel, Belgium’s rail infrastructure manager, has signed a contract worth more than 42 million euros with the Belgian rail operator Lineas. This agreement, valid for up to six years, allows Infrabel to lease up to 20 locomotives from Lineas, who will also handle maintenance. The locomotives will be deployed nationwide as shunting trains following a comprehensive European market consultation.
