Dublin DART recharged with Alstom hitech battery trains

X’trapolis commuter train built by Alstom in Poland for the DART+ project around Dublin Image Alstom media service

Official from Irish Railways, Iarnród Éireann, have had their first view of a completed X’trapolis commuter rail car. The unveiling was last week at Alstom’s Chorzów facility near Katowice in Poland. The hitch battery-electric multiple unit (BEMU) is the vanguard of a large order, set to transform the commuter and outer urban services around the Irish capital.
