UK strikes will be a challenge for Labour
Louise Haigh, the shadow transport secretary, has signalled a reconciliation with the railway industry and the trades unions. Her Labour Party is set to fulfil all the betting odds. They can realistically expect to be elected into power in the anticipated UK general election later this year. However, Haigh may well inherit the longest-running industrial dispute in the history of the railways.
