Manchester Oxford Road revamp but Castlefield Corridor still a pinch point
Britain’s infrastructure agency, Network Rail, is promising smoother journeys for passengers at Manchester Oxford Road station. However, the work at the nationally recognised building may not do anything to relieve the equally well-recognised bottleneck. The iconic station is to get a much-needed refurbishment. Queues may be eliminated at the ticket line, but it’s the trains queueing to enter the station that remain an issue.
