Renfe has exceeded one million free rail passes for locals and medium-distance trains in the first four months of 2023. Of the total number of tickets issued, 73.5 per cent correspond to season tickets for travel on the different Cercanías, Rodalies de Catalunya and Ancho Métrico lines, and the rest to Media Distanza free passes.
