Production has commenced on a new tram fleet for Prague. The new ForCity Plus Praha 52T trams are being custom fabricated at the Škoda works in Pilsen, Czechia. The production run marks the start of a contract signed in January. The 200 units will completely update the city’s extensive street-running network.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is announcing the signature of a €400 million loan agreement with the Société Publique Locale SPIIT (Société Publique Interrégionale des Investissements en faveur des Transports), owned by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions, for the acquisition of new rolling stock and the modernisation of existing equipment.
