DSB faces two-year delay of delivery IC5 trains by Alstom

The delivery of the IC5 trains by Alstom to Danish railway operator DSB will be later than planned. According to the timeline agreed in 2022, the first trainsets were to be in passenger service in Denmark by mid-2025, but with the revised plan, the IC5 will run in the 2027 timetable.

“Fantastic electric train”, hm…
A shift is needed!
Root of the current low quality mark of railways, regrettably remains.
(Railways now, safely has to provide surplus capacity, redundancy, simply safety factors, at all vital functions!)
Electrification, yes, but a timely, a resilient and redundant, a robust, etc.!
On Time is the demanded! (“JIT” no longer is sufficient…)
