DB launches ambitious rail infrastructure program InfraGO
Deutsche Bahn (DB) marked a pivotal moment for Germany’s railways with the launch of DB InfraGO AG in Berlin. DB InfraGO AG, formed through the merger of DB Netz AG and DB Station&Service AG, consolidates the activities related to tracks and stations within the DB Group. The initiative aims to address the ageing and vulnerable state of the rail infrastructure, as highlighted in the network status report for 2022.

However, if just with some unspecified “modernisation” (like the the TEN-T track standard, or?) then regrettably, current problems will remain.
(Cracks by “RCF”… and further imposed fatigue, at very same railheads… (from the negative moment by passing axials) both, these two, contemporarily, together, do pave for for broken rails, currently most frequent cause of derailments!)
Dear Mr Lutz, for a “significant transformation”, a decisive shift now is needed, away from current TEN-T standard!
