The Turkish ministry of Transport and Infrastructure held the kick-off ceremony for work on a key piece of high-speed infrastructure on Tuesday. A new tunnel on the outskirts of Istanbul should help facilitate faster train travel to the Turkish-Bulgarian border and, thus, to the EU.
