German train traffic gradually resumes following nationwide morning strike

German regional trains resumed services at the end of Friday morning following a nationwide strike. The strike was called by union EVG earlier this week for the period after midnight until 11:00 in the morning. Long distance trains came back on track around 13:00. Deutsche Bahn (DB) expects to run a vast majority of its scheduled trains today.
