Siemens Mobility is building 94 Desiro high-capacity vehicles for an extensive new railroad network in Egypt, specifically adapted to the desert climate. One of these trains is currently being tested at the testing centre near Wildenrath in Germany, and RailTech was invited to come over for a test drive. A look inside the train which Siemens promises will be the future of safe and comfortable travel in Egypt.
