Vossloh secures significant Chinese order
Vossloh has secured a significant contract to supply rail fastening systems for the construction of two high-speed rail lines in China. The order, valued at approximately 40 million euros, underscores Vossloh’s ongoing role in supporting China’s ambitious rail development projects.
“The award of this important order once again demonstrates the trust placed in Vossloh by our customers in China,” said Oliver Schuster, CEO of Vossloh AG. “Our high quality, innovative strength, and systems expertise are long appreciated in China.”
The two high-speed lines are integral to China’s transport network, linking key economic hubs and regions. One line will connect Xining, a bustling megacity, with Chengdu, a vital economic centre in western China. The second line will run from Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province, to Hezuo in the province’s southeast.
Vossloh’s subsidiary, Vossloh Fastening Systems China Co. Ltd., headquartered in Kunshan, China, will oversee the implementation of the order, with deliveries slated to commence in 2025.
China’s commitment to expanding its high-speed rail network, set to reach over 70,000 kilometres by 2035, underscores the importance of reliable suppliers like Vossloh. With around 130 employees, Vossloh Fastening Systems China Co. Ltd. stands as a leading local provider of rail fastening systems, particularly for sophisticated applications on high-speed lines.
