Britain’s HS2 high-speed rail project has had a welcome boost. Approval has been granted for the design of a system-wide infrastructure maintenance depot at Calvert in Buckinghamshire. The site will be at the intersection between the HS2 project (running north-south) and the East-West Rail project which will connect Cambridge and Oxford. It is anticipated that the depot will employ 300 professionals.
