Amsterdam-Berlin train is 30 minutes faster: no more locomotive change

DB Fernverkehr and NS International have decreased the travel time of international trains between Amsterdam and Berlin by 30 minutes this week. Travel time has gone from 6.20 to 5.52 hours.

This could have been achieved a decade earlier. The decision to buy new trains seem to have affected the decision for a timetable change now.

Earlier stations Minden and Bad Oeyenhausen were quite close together.
The stop in Stendal is now replaced by an ICE stop ther every other hour on the route Berlin to Düsseldorf, which seems more apppropriate for travellers in the Stendal region.
