GB Railfreight in bed with Caledonian Sleeper for another seven years
GB Railfreight (GBRf) has agreed on a seven-year deal with Caledonian Sleeper Ltd to continue hauling the Caledonian Sleeper coaches. The contract, effective since 25 June, follows on from the service being taken into public sector control by the Scottish government. GBRf was the incumbent traction partner before the private sector management contractors, Serco, were ousted in an acrimonious termination of their contract earlier this year.
