International collaboration to develop battery-electric fleet for UK

Class 321 Renatus at Ipswich Peter Skuce - WikiCommons

Leasing company Eversholt Rail, together with pioneering developers Vivarail and specialists Kiepe Electric, are to collaborate on a UK project. The trio will work together to develop and deliver a zero-emissions upgrade for the Class 321 “Renatus” multiple units. The fleet, which was developed from a 1980s design and was last overhauled only three years ago, is being re-engineered to deliver greater flexibility for the operator Greater Anglia.

Yes, “a number of opportunities”, indeed! (Electrification, yes, but a timely, etc.!)
Simply Industry now shall shift from defensively obstructing, to an offensively embracing possibilities – offered by Market!
As on road, on sea, by air, a decisive upgrading, at track bound industry the needed shift…, sooner the better, shall start!
It is 2022 now and majority can not afford luxury of not caring about “eta”, etc.!
