Siemens launches online catalog for train parts

This week, train builder Siemens Mobility will open MoComp, an online catalog for parts for rolling stock. In the catalog you can find mechanical, electronic and system components for rail vehicles. This includes pantographs, drive systems, bogies, brakes and parts for on-board energy supply.

According to Siemens Mobility, MoComp brings together the various rail vehicle components of Siemens Mobility in one place for the first time, where the information about them can be consulted by customers. It is therefore not a web store, as known for consumer goods. It is not possible to order by means of a mouse click and leaving credit card details, but the MoComp website does offer an overview of the Siemens range for the different product groups.

National approvals

A distinction has been made between locomotives, light rail, metro, commuter trains and high-speed rolling stock. The technical data and current applications and national approvals are shown schematically for all available components.

“Our many years of experience with trains and locomotives enable us to offer the rail industry a comprehensive portfolio of components and systems”, said Albrecht Neumann, CEO Rolling Stock at Siemens Mobility. “This portfolio has been developed specifically for the needs of the industry from a vehicle builder’s perspective. MoComp offers rolling stock manufacturers, OEMs and operators the opportunity to easily purchase individual components and complete systems to optimise and improve the performance of their rail vehicles.”
