DB Schenker receives award for its services on Silk Road

DB Schenker was granted an international price for its services on the Silk Road during the AFLAS Awards 2018 in Shanghai. The company won in the category Best Logistics Service Provider.

DB Schenker wants to enhance its rail freight services between Europe and Asia in terms of costs, lead time and service options. DB Schenker was the first logistics service provider to connect China and Europe via rail in 2008. According to the company, the volumes that are transported via its China Train grow by approximately 300 per cent each year.

AFLAS Awards

The Asian Freight, Logistics & Supply Chain (AFLAS Awards) are organised annually by Asia Cargo News. The nomination and voting process allowed the more than 10,000 readers to determine the winners. The 2019 ceremony is expected to take place in Hong Kong.
