RailTech Europe 2022 officially kicks off

After a digital edition last year, RailTech Europe 2022 has kicked off live this Tuesday. Companies from all over the railway sector showcase their products at the exhibition, and at the conference, the Digital Railway is the central theme of the day. 

For three days, the railway sector meets in Utrecht, the Netherlands to follow the latest developments in the railway sector. On the exhibition floor, companies showcase what they have to offer the railways and give workshops. From the studio, workshops will be livestreamed as well on the front page of RailTech.com. Find the workshop programme here. At noon, the nominated companies will pitch their innovations to the jury and audience via this stream as well. The best innovative product or services in the industry will be awarded during an award dinner in the evening.

At the RailTech Europe Conference, presentations centered around Digital Rail are on the programme, such as the status of ERTMS deployment in Europe, the next communication system for rail FRMCS with 5G, automation in rail operations and the challenges the sector faces. There are also panel discussions about the implementation of ERTMS and about cybersecurity as a joint responsibility.
