Norway’s rail budget boost may mean big contracts for 2025
Norway’s government has proposed to set aside 470 million euros for 2025 to upgrade its railway network, nearly 250 million euros more than last year. The budget still has to be signed off by the Norwegian parliament, but it could mean the coming announcement of the first contracts for one of Norway’s largest tunnel projects, and the start of major upgrades on the key Bergen line as early as next year.
