In just the last few months, Deutsche Bahn (DB) has announced billions in losses, 30,000 layoffs, and the sale of its most profitable division. If that wasn’t enough of a shakeup, it has now formally launched its restructuring programme through to 2027. The plan includes drastically reducing long-distance and infrastructure-related delays, as well as hitting a 2-billion-euro profit margin within three years. It’s an ambitious plan to bring the ailing German carrier back to life. So what are the details?
