Could ETCS have helped? 35 injured in Prague train crash

Thirty-five people were injured in Prague on Wednesday morning after two passenger trains crashed in the Czech capital. Traffic on the rail line was consequently halted, with police stating that one of the drivers had tested positive for alcohol. However, Czechia’s rail operator Správa železnic said that the other driver was likely at fault for the collision. But could the European Train Control System (ETCS) have stopped it?
