Adif has completed one of the most complex phases of adapting a railway junction known as ‘the Gateway to Europe’ to standard gauge. As an essential enclave for the Mediterranean Corridor, the upgraded infrastructure means that Castellbisbal Junction will soon be available to freight and passenger trains, significantly boosting rail connectivity with Spain, France and beyond.
