Details of Bucharest-Budapest HSR line revealed – including huge price tag

This summer, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his Romanian counterpart Marcel Ciolacu finally agreed to creating a high-speed railway line from Bucharest to Budapest. Travel times between the two capitals could potentially be cut from more than 15 hours to just three. In the pipeline for an age, concrete details are now starting to trickle out around the project – including the potentially huge price tag.
