‘Built for the middle class’: India’s luxurious Vande Bharat Sleeper unveiled
India’s railway minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw has unveiled the prototype of the country’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train, hailing the event as “a historic moment” for the nation’s railways. Set to enter service within three months, the new night trains – built specifically to cater to India’s fast-growing middle class – will offer passengers a “luxury” train experience on a par with European standards.
