Spain’s Adif secures €430M EIB loan for Basque high-speed lines

Spanish railway infrastructure company Adif Alta Velocidad (Adif AV) has secured a €430 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to build high-speed rail lines connecting the three capitals of the Basque Country. The line, called “Basque Y”, will link Vitoria-Gasteiz, Donostia-San Sebastián, and Bilbao, enhancing connections with the Iberian Peninsula and Europe.
